Posted: 10/28/02 - 13:31 Post subject: Outlaw Daylight Savings Time!!!!!!!!!!
So I sit here at my desk with the CD playing, and bored.
On the verge of falling asleep writing code.
WHY?????????????
Blame DST.
The extra hour always plays havoc in my running and here at work.
Normally takes me 3 days to recover.
And the leaving in the dark to go to work, and head home in the dark
after work gets old after a week.
Here's a link :

Here's something to think about the next time you go out running:
There is a small public health benefit to Daylight Saving time. Several studies in the U.S. and Britain have found that daylight, almost certainly because of improved visibility, substantially decreases (by four times) the likelihood of pedestrians being killed on the roads. Even if it is beneficial overall, Daylight Saving Time shifts this danger from the evening to the morning.
Gulp.

Doesn't affect me at all either in the spring or fall. Don't really notice any difference.

I like more daylight in the evenings. I say switch to DST and never go back to standard time.

Freaking daylight savings sucks, and let me tell you why.
Niether my son nor daughter know how to tell time, and not wanting my kids to wake an hour earlier, we attempted to keep them up to the new 7 o'clock.
We gave up around 6:20...
This morning at 5:45 a.m. I heard my son yelling "you finished daddy?" and "Wake Up Daddy!"

Well, I am sorry to hear your troubles, guys. I guess Mikey took the opposite approch for his first turn of the clock. He slept 2 extra hours! It was wonderful.
