Okay so it is a week overdue. I have had no creativity to inspire me to come up with a cool way to describe my race.
I felt good for the first 2/3 and when I got to about mile 10 I felt my determination slip. I was fighting some small cramps and tightness in my calves and hamstrings since mile 4. The weather was pretty nice, the wind helped to keep me cool. I am hoping to use this as a good jumping off point for the rest of my winter training season.
Splits:
.42 - Gun to the start mat
Mile 1: 7:39
Mile 2: 7:27
Mile 3: 7:45
Mile 4: 7:55
Mile 5: 8:02
Mile 6: 8:04
Mile 7: 7:51
Mile 8: 7:57
Mile 9: 8:17
Mile 10: 8:21
Mile 11: 8:15
Mile 12: 8:15
Mile 13: 8:24
Final .1: .47
Temp was in the middle 60's with gusty winds.
Men's Overall: 266/723
Age Group: 35/66
Chip Time: 1:44:59
Pace: 8:01
Gun Time: 1:45:41
When I get the pictures I will let you know.

I was wondering when this would come up. Nicely run race; way to hang in there. Setting you up nicely for The Big One.

JRJO,
I am not running the Jax marathon this year. My brother decided that was a good weekend to get married! My next long race is going to be the Guana 50k on February 20, 2005.
