A quote from Oscar Wilde, “There is always something ridiculous about the emotions of people whom one has ceased to love.”
Is anger just a symptom of frustration, sadness or fear? Or, is it a stand-alone emotion?

I think anger can be a stand alone emotion.
What you choose to do with it is what makes the difference, though.
Often, though, I see anger as the by-product of powerlessness in any given situation that matters.

I would tend to agree with Aire. I see it as a choice one makes in how to respond to a situation, person, etc.....I also see it as a conditioned response to repeated exposure to the same negative stimuli/energy. I wouldn't necessarily call it a symptom in all cases, but I guess you could look at it that way. For me personally, anger normally has to have some catalyst.
Nice to see you back again, how are you these days?
