For the last two weeks we have been trying to catch a mouse running around in our house. I had set some traps then bought some more after not havi ng any luck for 2 weeks. Last night we were able to isolate a room to where he/she was in. We eventually blocked all escape routes by slowly cornering him underneath a small section of desk.
We actually caught the mouse with a butterfly net and then the mouse was introduced to the business end of a crow bar. Cruel as it is, I had no other choice.

It took three adults over 1 hour to catch the offender but the crime is now solved.

Future suggestions:

1) Borrow your brother's cat for a day as long as no one is allergic.

2) Peanut butter, in the end of a closed in plastic trap. The door shuts once they are in there, and they LOVE peanut butter. Then you can take them, still alive, and dump them in your most annoying neighbor's yard. At night.
(Not that I would know.....) Mr. Green Mr. Green

The traps are about $3 at K-mart or the local hardware store.

Better still:

When we had a mouse problem, we set a trap. But instead of the real deal, in the trap we put a picture of a piece of cheese.

It worked.

The next day in the trap was a picture of a mouse.

we used to cath them live too. put a small trash can just off a shelf with a cube of cheese or whatever on some carboard cut just to fit inside the top of the can. mouse drops onto the cardboard and then all fall into the can. we used to keep them all winter in an old fish tank and then relase them in the woods in the srping. complete with food, and shelters.

The mouse is Jerry and the cats are Tom, Mr. Jinks, Top Cat, and Sylvester?

Some days my house resembles a Warner Bros cartoon. Especially when they all line up and stare at the dishwasher, which is how the mouse accesses the house.

Hey, the miracle of science! I believe you can get them at MicroMedMart...and you'll need really small tweezers.

Bad cop. At least you didn't pull your service revolver. That would be tough to explain. Wink
