aka, I heard from my first of 3 schools, my #3 choice of the 3.
Waitlisted.

We had a record number of qualified applicants applying for admission for the Fall 2005 class. At this time you have been placed in some UNDISCLOSED POSITION (am I #2 or #402?) on the waiting list along with over 400 other applicants.   Classes for the fall semester have been filled for this campus.
Offers of admissions to students on the waiting list will occur in the FAT CHANCE HELL FREEZES OVER and there are any spaces available between now and August.

I'm not banking on a wait list. So, that's one down.  Not my first choice by any means. But it would have been nice to have a back up. Operation mailbox watch continues.
and the threat of staying at my current job longer, lingers...

I think students who are wait listed should be given a priority entry or moved up somehow on the next semester's list.
Seems only fair.
