my experience with outlook is that once you delete the folder, it's gone. However, you may have a backup folder (outlook saves these things with a funny ext. but can be opened with wordpad or the like). Go into windows explorer, find your netscape folder and check that. I'm not sure where the heck on the tree that is, but if you look long enough, you will find it. You could also do a search for the name of the folder, thusly myfolder.* or even without the .* for that matter.
OHOHOH you could check your RECYCLE BIN if you haven't already emptied... restore the file if it's in there? Might work.
And, if you're on XP, you could go back to yesterday and restore the system, it should put it back. In theory.
good luck!

What's with you and the email lately? If this was on their server (i.e. webmail) you might get some pity from them for a restore if you call them quickly. If you did it locally (i.e. your PC) I don't think you can get it back.

elkid is dead on. if the folder was in the directory tree connected to your account (I hope you can visualize this), then it's possible your ISP can restore the folder. If, on the other hand, the folder was under the directory tree Local Folders, you're probably sunk.
Little bit of advertising here if you don't mind. Try out www.mozilla.org and download thunderbird. It's their new email client. It's really nice.

thanks everyone.
I was more worried about Robin's response but she was pretty laid back about it.
We did have a lot of doctors correspondence that we really needed but otherwise most stuff is not that big of deal.
Lesson learned.

It took me about 5 hard drive reformats to figure out that I needed to print the important emails, or save them on a floppy as text files. I also have a notebook where I can keep track of the important stuff from emails (like course assignment changes, phone numbers, whatever). Helps keep me somewhat on top of things. I also keep the email address book backed up, for just in case.
Just a few ideas for you. I think this happens to all of us sooner or later.
