{{{{{Genie}}}}} - I think it's only natural to get a litle freaked out, but you WILL make it through this. And you'll be a lot healthier, more comfortable, and happier all around after everything is over. And that's certainly worth it, right?

Yes, we have off Monday for Pres. Day, which is why I scheduled it then, and he's taking off at least Tuesday and he said Wednesday too if I need him to, so I'm good there. We both have laptops so he can work at home, which we both prefer anyway. I'm lucky, being single, that he's such a good friend. Smile

no looking back now -- really. seeing that there's been changes recently you should be ready to rock and roll.

that catheter thing is scary but look at it as a medical marvel that will intercept the pain( and yes, there will be some )but you will be armed and dangerous against it. i think it's probably better to treat it locally than dope your entire system with percodan. (i saw pink elephants on that stuff once).

i can only say that the antipation of this sucks enormously for you--

{{{{genie}}}}

this is a necessary step in your dream cuz, let me remind you....

.....people with no dreams have sucky lives......

on your way baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Genie, You're a runner..you go lookin' for pain. No prob

Just the few smaller procedures I've had done don't compare, but I can understand nervousness. Just leave it at the door. You've got professionals taking care of you, a determination that'll bounce you back in no time, and trust me on this one, more prayers than you realize being sent.

And another

Thanks, buddy.....but it looks like we'll all be waiting together. Sad
The doc called me this morning and it is REALLY bad here....we are going to have to reschedule. My car is buried up over its bumper, the check I did last night showed 14" and it is STILL snowing!! He said it just wasn't worth the risk since I am well over an hour's drive from the hospital, so his secretary is calling tomorrow to reschedule. They are saying this is supposed to be the worst storm of all time here.....yeesh! What did come to me this morning is that I think this needed to happen to get me over this intense fear I was having, because now all I can think of is "let's get this nonsense over already!" Everything for a reason....Wink

Kristin, my deepest apologies for that evil rant you had to sit through last night when it became obvious things were not going to go down as planned today.... Embarassed

Thanks for all your calls, PMs, thoughts and prayers....I'll keep you posted when we get a new date set.

Pshaw!!! ( I THINK that's how you spell it!) Don't worry about it; it's nothing, and I know you would do the same for me. That's why certain people get called friends.

I hope you get rescheduled quickly. Meanwhile, stay safe. We did end up getting about 18 inches here too; and they do not plow. We got home from the mountains OK; got stuck getting out of the carport tonite!
