some man pulled up next to me and asked where I had been. ( my commuting has been sporadic with school starting)
Then 5 miles away from work I had a flat. It took me for freaking ever to change it. Just as I finished the sag wagon(Mr Poky) pulled up so I hitched a ride the rest of the way to work. I was filthy.

People were very friendly this morning. Lots of waves.
Sorry about that flat. You'll get faster as you do them more. And then you'll get slower because you're tired of changing flats.

You'll never get anyone to help.

Interestingly, when I started doing almost daily rides, not a week went by that I don't get a flat. At one point it seemed likeI was getting a flat per ride. My friend was surprised it was always my front tire.
I just got this new tire with a Kevlar thread. With luck that should take care of the problem. A friend gave me an extra tube in preparation for the race.
