I wish there was more topics and conversations there...
Post your reasons here why you spend so much more time here.
I'll start:
1.There's constantly new replies in riff raff
2. It can annoy people because you discuss more you what you feel in a serious tone.
3....

Honestly It's a combination of factors.
1. I have a pretty complicated life as it is. I' very conservative and would most likely piss everyone off anyway. I'd just get frustrated as to why no one can see what I see so clearly.
2. I am emotional. I'd get carried away, give too much of myself away and it would get "used against me" all over the freaking place.
Trust me. It happens.
I just come to RR because deep down the personalities seem nice. Also, It is my only chance to be somewhat immature and laugh and cutt up with other people. My job is pretty intense when I'm busy. So, this is down time for me.
I really don't want to think when I come to this website. I can think offline.
OK, that's my.

On the other hand, I'd like to know why some people post almost exclusively in that forum

Me too, and I'm not 1. My life is serious enough as it is. This is kinda like my escape from that. I'm just a smart ass who likes to laugh a lot.

I stay out of On Topic because that would require having to use my brain and make coherent sentences. Usually I'm pretty tired by the time I hit the RR forums here-I want to relax and unwind.

Maybe I'm wired a little bit differently than some people. I usually find it difficult to unwind, be silly and goof around with people I don't really know. When I first stumbled across this website the only areas I felt comfortable posting were the running related forums and "On Topic".
When discussing, debating or just talking about serious topics - it seems more like an intellectual exercise and I can remove myself from the fact that I am having the discussion with people I barely know.
But I have been dropping by Riff Raff more often lately.

Hey, something for everyone....that's the beauty of this site. For those who only want to talk about serious stuff, they don't have to wade through pizza and mayo to do so.....and for those of us who need to relax, unwind, cut up and just be silly for stress relief, we can come here.
And I heard a rumor there's even a forum here somewhere to discuss....GASP....running stuff too!!
I go over there sometimes just to see if there's anything I feel like discussing, and occasionally there is. But like Jenny said, I do serious all day long. Sometimes girls just wanna have fun!

I'm 'not serious' in real life, so why be here? Not that I can't be serious, but for the most part, if I'm on here, I'm getting away from the daily grind of work, news, life...
