I enjoyed the games, and I though NBC's coverage was pretty good. You could flip around at anytime during the games and find some event to watch.
Highlights: No terrorism, save for the jackass yesterday during the marathon.
Lowlights: Too much prime time coverage of gymnastics. Too much jumping back and forth of events

Highlights:
- Two marathon medals for the U.S., more than any other country.
- Medals in sports where the U.S. is not considered to be strong - Fencing, Tae Kwan Do come readily to mind.
Lowlights:
- While Alan Webb and Paula Radcliffe came up short, the lowlight (excluding the obvious marathon incident) was the conduct of the U.S. men's volleyball team. They went 0 and 5 in Sydney, and in the early rounds here, they lose their match to Italy. With live mikes on, they go to the net at the end and rather than the customary/obligatory "Good game"/"Congratulations"/"Best of luck," it's a non-stop string of "F-you"s.
Poor a performance as they had, the men's basketball team didn't sink to this depth. Utterly tasteless.
Biggest surprises:
- The Kenyans get shut out off marathon medals, and the Ethiopians get one.
- Iraq's soccer team.
- Greece pulled off a good Games.
And... will they ever learn?
- The athletes testing positive for drugs. The one woman who said she would not give her medal back should be banned from international competitions for life.
