We would be ship if anyone posted our soldier's pics in their underpants like that. It's demeaning. I really feel that way. |
I'm not saying it isn't demeaning on a personal level...but why would we ship if some foreign newspaper snapped a photo of a well-taken care of prisoner in his skivs?
It's not like he was being paraded around and mocked.

I dont think he's being mistreated, perse.
Did the prison encourage these photos? | Might be the Sun's reason for publishing them. Everyone will assume it was our people who took them, get some more trouble brewing.

i hope the photographer and the jail cronies all pay a hefty price for that photo. The man may be lowest life form on this planet, but when it comes to treatment, I would think that we, as Americans can step above such idiotic games.
We should not treat any human, or animal in a manner in whch we would not ourselves wish to be treated. He is a prisoner, he should be treated as such. And, until we actually try him in a court of law, is is only presumed guilty.
Didn't we learn anyhting from the Abu ???? prison?

Sheldon | Unless it's a fake photo, the answer unfortunately appears to be 'no'.

OK...silly me didn't read the article before I opened my mouth.
I didn't realize the photo was taken by a military source. I had a different understanding of the situation.
I take it back. That ain't right.

Pure unadulterated selfishness. Someone out for a quick buck, probably. The rags pay quite a bit. There are people who can be bought.
I feel saddened by this. Again, the high road--the one less taken.

Avon has come out with something called Personal Match Cream to Powder Foundation. I have oily skin and halfway through the day you can see your own reflection in my face. This stuff goes on creamy but then dries to a powder and absorbs excess oil. And the colors are really good, very natural.

Wow. That is the most obvious attempt at thread derailment I have EVER seen!
