Posted: 03/26/03 - 18:23 Post subject: Oh god, I have to go bowling tomorrow with cowworkers...
God help me, please. I'd rather gnaw my own leg out of a steel trap. This is some sort of team-building exercise, we have to go bowling at 8Am !!(mind you, the restaurant's 3rd year anniversary is tonight so I'll be there late I am sure, so I should be a real treat after about 4 hours of sleep!). This is an extension of theat stupid "Fish Camp" crapola.
The only redeeming thing about this entire exercise is that I found this shibby SWEET jacket to wear in the basement...it's satin and reversible (red one side and black on the other) and SHINY and has a big Couvousier(sp?) logo in gold and black and red. It's really quite stylin'. Looks like somethng out of Kingpin. I am going to wear it just for the reactions alone.
Please pray for me....that I don't hurt anyone or myself...hopefully the bowling alley has no sharp objects.

Sucks to be you. I wish you could be spared the agony of team building with the cow-workers.
edited to say: The jacket sounds great.

no. Because they still expect you to get the same amount of work done with one less day.. Besides, YOU try speding a whole day with Smiles to Your Face (a particularly backstabbing cow-worker). I think my motto for tomorrow will be "Xanax. It's what helps me deal with people like you".
(Not you, as in Joel, but you as in cow-worker)

Gotcha. Sounds alot like the wife's old situation at the job. Just don't feel bad if you accidentally let the ball slip out of your fingers....

I think a day out of the office would be cool, although spending it with
cow-orkers doesn't sound like much fub. I will be thinking about you.

If they didn't still expect to get as much done in less time....the other thing I am concerned about is the smoke; bowling alleys smell like old smoke and I've had a migraine for like 11 days now. I'm sure that will not help.

Thanks! The jacket ROCKS!!! It's my boyfriend's but he denies any prior ownership of it (like who else is going to have liquor saleman giveaways around here ) so it's mine now. I LOVE that phrase!!!!!

That phrase does rock!
Should I tell you now about the germs and ick inside the bowling ball and the shoes or wait until tomorrow?
Actually I have no data but it always grosses me out.

Greg, I'm leaving now to pick up you and the cam.....we've got to get this on film!
Hmmm....let's see, how could you arrange for Smilie-girl to have an unfortunate accident? : pondering the possibilities:

Now don't forget to wear your black socks, ok? And remember to drink heavily! Bowling is always so much better(especially with cow-workers) when you're drunk!
