Posted: 11/09/03 - 18:41 Post subject: Oh, the joys of MP3 players....
And to all those who sneer at people running with music!!!!
I finally figured out how to load up my MP3 player that I got a year ago and took it out for a test drive today. DANG, that was fun!!! I ran farther and faster (relatively speaking for my turtle self) than I have since before my surgery in February and it was a total blast. I had a GREAT classic rock/80's hairband mix (ZZTop, Molly Hatchet, The Who, Def Leppard, etc) cooking today and it came together like magic! Pretty stupid not to consider this before, since music is such a big driver in my life. I can't even clean the house without cranking up the AC/DC reallllly LOUD!
WOO HOO!!!! Back in the game she is!

Looks like someone needs some more of my running mixes.
I 100% got your back on this topic. I can't imagine running a few minutes without it, not to mention a few hours. Anything that muffles the horrid sounds of my own breathing and the jostling of whatever pack I'm wearing is a godsend.

It's about the beat. I use the macarena sometimes too.

Come to Maine. Lots of long country roads with wide shoulders and every four wheeled or two legged creature that passes is either a fellow parent at the school, a local business owner, a town council member or your neighbor. Or any combination thereof.
