Posted: 05/03/05 - 17:54 Post subject: Official Goals Thread :)
well, i couldn't figure out what forum to put this in... and it seems like we have the most traffic here - so i was wondering, who here is plodding away at a goal? any goals for the summer? tell me tell me tell me.
i figure it could be a good supportive thread for us getting ready for those summer months.
i'll go first -
i'm just finishing up my 2 year college program and now i don't know what to do, im not ready to take the world seriously yet - so i'm starting with something a bit more familiar. re: me.
* by the end of june, i plan to be running regularly (3 days a week),
* to drop my bodyfat % down to the 9-9.5 range (from my current 10.7-11 range).
*by the end of august, i hope to have put on 5 lbs of muscle (from my 145-147 weight, i'd like to weigh inbetween 150-155 at the 9-9.5% range).
if i get into a gym, i'll add some benchpress goals.
oh! and i want to run a race in september!!!
now.you.go
(for the record the "official ___ thread" thing is a running joke on another thread i go to... there's nothing official about it. but its a good place to compile stuff).

Good luck, Blue! I think this is a great idea. My girlfriend's mother told me to do this, and now I am. Thanks for reminding me.
In no particular order:
* Organization. Know it, love it, live it.
* Love myself in all my flaws.
* Get a grip and let go.
* Be that mom. That good mom. The mom I know I can be.
* Get off the couch and onto the road! I've been a slacker. Got.To.Run!!!
That's all for now. I think that's plenty!

* Go fishing.
* Plant some flower beds around here.

Finish out the school year.
Clean out my new classroom that's really cluttered (over the summer). I inherited it that way.
Have a nice summer with my children and let them have fun.
Take off a few pounds by watching the junk I eat.
Cut back on Diet Coke...yes I did say this and mean it.
Continue to budget and save what I can...when I can.

Graduate from college (May 27th!)
Find a job that I can stay with for a year or so
enjoy my year off from school
start thinking of what I may like to do for my masters
Maintain 70-85 mile weeks during the summer while working on the intensity; improve on my race times this summer and the fall
Run and BQ on my first marathon this coming October

I don't feel comfortable talking about my goals in a public forum.
