Good hypothetical question. (I honestly don't know if it currently is or is not.)

First of all Anorexia, is a Physical disease, not weighing enough or being underweight due to any PHYSICAL disease/condition. yes it gets medical help and testing.
ANOREXIA NERVOSA is what everyone is actually thinking of, it falls under mental conditions and requires psychaitric help AND whatever medical problems arise are treated for under the medical coverage
makes me think maybe we should have an obesity nervosa then. but it still would not be 64% of the population.

No, it wouldn't. But I think it would cover a surprising number. You don't get to be hugely obese without a disorder approach to eating.

hmmm, as an adult we have the choice, but there are laws that protect children from being exploited when it comes to cigarettes and alcohol. It may sound extreme but look at how many obese children there are...and part of this problem is the fast food. I think the ingredients used are addicative and extremely unhealthy. Really when something becomes so socio-cultural, then it's not just up to the citizenry to make a stand, business has to be held resonsible too. I think Blue suggested marketing healthier fast foods. I think that's a great and much more responsible way to conduct business.
And you know, it's just not fast food, it's media in general. Always out for the quick and easy dollar. Not all businesses conduct marketing to the public this way. Yeah, it's capitolism but it's capitolism at it's ugliest. There can still be some consideration for the public they supposedly serve.

you don't have to make a dollar at someone's expense.
you can make a dollar making them better.

Lately, I have been thinking that we live our lives in warp speed, so the only time we actually rest is when we are eating. In order to prolong the rest period we eat more.
Maybe I'm talking out the part that hit the ice yesterday, but that's my current theory.
