I'm still suffering from Sunday's bout with When Sports Bras Attack, but despite the pain from my cuts I went to the gym for lunch yesterday to lift. Typically I go M & F mornings before work, but I'm trying to phase in extra sessions. Anyhoo, a male cow-orker LAUGHED at me when he saw me lifting.  So I challenged him to a Put Up or Shut Up contest. It was a tiered series of 10 reps: 30 for 10, then 40 for 10, etc. The last set of 10 completed was the weight that was counted. My upper body strength is getting there but still low: I still beat him which surprised me. Blew him out of the water with my legs, which didn't surprise me.
I won  , but I'm having difficulty lifting my arms today. A LOT of difficulty.

I'd never challenge a woman (or man for that matter) to a contest I wasn't sure I could win.
The world's record for men's bench is over double what the women's is.

I sure hope men on average lift more than women!
The funny thing was, this dude seriously thought he'd win. Skinny ass "in shape" guy who "works out" twice a week while yapping with his buddies taking on the fat runner chick. HA!

Ouuuuch. Somehow the challenge has come across this way, but really it's not the intent.
The Pecs Specs part of it though is straight stats and nothing to do with pics or posting numbers. You can score yourself and square up against other lifting ladies over the next 90-days. C'mon! Whadya say?

If I read it right, it's supposed to be a fubby contest. You can do what we all do best and be smart alecky and send in a fub pic of your pecs.
Or, if I read it right, you can participate in one part of the contest OR the other, you don't have to participate in both.
I highly doubt that the organizers of this meant it as a "jolly-gathering-event". I didn't see it as anything crass or perverted. I just took it as silly fub.
