yeah I'm with Robp & PH I want to know what happened to my beer
and my cooler. We were jumping off the cliffs at the lake and had
a full cooler of beer, when the cops came and asked to whom did the cooler belong, and of course none of us knew so they took it.
umm I'm not feeling very smart as I type this - drinking beer
jumping off cliffs

Good question, I would say yes
Just how did the whole cops/doughnuts thing get started anyway?
I would say because donut places were the only places open 24/7 for us to get coffee and donuts. Plus coffee is usually good and we get good prices on the donuts and codfee

We confisicate then destroy it. Some depts around here give it out to the guys after the shift.
It happened a couple of times, get pulled over, officer chews us out for being underaged and having open containers, then lets us off w/o a ticket but they always took our beer.
We always ticket. Taking the beer without documentation around here is a no no
Did they realize how many drive-thrus we had to hit before finding one that would sell beer to a punk?
I can only imagine
Some of those places that keep selling are getting shut down around here for too many violations.

Most of the beer we get, no one wants any way. The kids around here go for quantity not quality.

So did I back in those days..... When you're making $2.35 an hour it took a couple of hours to save up for a case!

Would you arrest your own mother if she broke a law?
Does your wife get worried sick about your job?
How fast can a police cruiser really go?
Why do detectives ever agree to appear on tv, won't that blow their cover on other cases?
Is the FBI really that difficult to work with?
What is exactly "your record"? If you had my driver's license number, what kinds of things are on my record?

Is it absolutely necessary to put those handcuffs on so tight?

So then what do you do with all of the other stuff you get (i.e. pot, etc?Does that get destroyed too?
How safe is it to buy those cars from police auctions (I am assuming they are confiscated drug dealers cars? I don'tknow that either).
How do you get to be a horce policeman? You know, the ones that give out parking tickets and talk to people all day. I think that would be a fun job. Do you have to have seniority? Or just know how to ride?

Not me, conflict of interest .
Does your wife get worried sick about your job?
Sometimes. More of the stress I bring home and crap I deal with than safety stuff
How fast can a police cruiser really go? over 130

not really, in large cities they have special units devoted to that work.
most of the people who speak do not really do that work-
here- we only have 3 detectives and only our chief or deputy would make statements so it would not matter.
Is the FBI really that difficult to work with?
No-quite agreeable actually, just do not give information out that freely. Had numerous dealings, always very professional. Most of their guys really are on the ball.
What is exactly "your record"? If you had my driver's license number, what kinds of things are on my record?
I could get a history of any arrests, tickets, accidents and the like.

All incinerated yes,
How safe is it to buy those cars from police auctions (I am assuming they are confiscated drug dealers cars? I don'tknow that either).
Most are as is. Some great deals. Most are pretty good though.

Bid/ interview/seniority/connections

Riding helps, but mostly it is guys who really want it. I have known some guys in Phila who once they got mounted patrol work, were going to retire there.
