...when you were definitely planning a run, and stuff happened that made it impossible to do. Especially a long run. What do you do/how do you feel?

Lots of stuff goes through my head; calculations, worries, aggravation, etc.

If I can do it the next day I try and do that, otherwise I have to chalk it up to life/work/family. I have also had to get up a 4 AM to do long runs, just to fit them in.

Unless it's a long run, I just chalk it up to 'life happens' and go on. If it's a long run, I fret and worry a little, but not too much.

..dittos.. moving it to another day of the week is no horror in my book, even if it means really early morn.

I don't like to miss the long runs, so I tend to try and get them in early on Saturday morning. I tried Sunday mornings, but things always seemed to happen on Saturday to interfer with the Sunday run.

I agree that any other run should be chalked up to "life happens" and no big deal. (I know, easier said than done.)

I do the same thing as PackerBacker with my long runs on Saturday. Makes my week much easier. I learned a long time ago that I can't make up a run if I miss it. So like most everyone else here, I chalk it up to 'life happens' and move on.
