Schools, businesses, non-essential gubermint; most everyone is staying beneath the electric blankets today.
Too bad for our boys though, Lake Wobegon Homeschool District will be in session.
Anybody wanna refresh me on that global-warming data again?

I'm knew you'd trump whatever I came up with on the weather!!! I knew it!!
Umm, according to that bastion of scientific excellence, The Day After Tomorrow, global warming will end up causing sudden freezes around the globe.
If I was you, I'd keep inside as much as possible. Be safe, dude.

Nearly every school in the great state of SoDak was cancelled or running 2 hours late today. Because of the cold.

when we got in the car this morning, bryce looked at the thermometer, "20f isn't too bad, mom" "nope, but watch it once we get out the garage"
-6F.....not as bad as I expected. I guess with wc it's closer to -25. Once you get below zero....what's the diff? Of course that time I was in -90 with w/c....I could tell it wasn't your typically below zero.
need to add: is it just me, but when the sun finally comes out in January....it's always on a cold day. I haven't seen the sun for days and today you need sunglasses to drive. very deceiving

Belinda Jensen, the weather lady explained this. When the air is super cold, it doesn't hold water so well, so there would be fewer clouds. Thus: Freakin Cold = Sunny Day.
I think, though, that they should stop telling us the temp at a certain point. When the windchill is -20, it's just freakin cold. They should tell us that. Then, when it gets to -50, it should be Unbelievably Freakin Cold. No actual temps in that range, because -34 is no colder to me than -25.
