This cool girl over there (caribougrrl) went on a Caribou research trip over the summer . While out in the woods in close proximity of the Caribous, a Warble fly laid eggs in her arm and hatched.
There's a thread on the first page with pictures. Don't eat while reading that thread.
It's disgustingly cool.
I understand this is a hanging offense.

Anything that says, "don't eat while reading" and with the word "disgusting" tells me not to look. I don't have the stomach for it right now.
Everyone else can look and be revolted though.

She had a worble (sp?) in her arm. A little larvae smaller than a maggot. They are very common in critters and since she works in the field must have gotten exposed. It was kind of gross but pretty fascinating all the same.

While we're on the subject of sleeping, I woke up this morning with my head at the foot of the bed, and my cell phone, which was on the nightstand when I went to sleep, was under the bed. No clue what happened last night.
