Do people ever call you by a name you can't stand? Some people around here call me Ali and I hate it. So I've started calling them names like a-hole, butt-hole, freak etc. etc.

Mine is a pronunciation thing. I hate it when I'm called "shur-ul". its "SHARE-ul". I don't know why but that really bugs me.

Yes. Sometimes people automatically shorten my name to Kris, even though I am introduced as Kristin. That seems rather nervy, especially when I don't know them well. So I like to call them by some derivative of their name to see if they will get the hint. They usually don't.
I don't mind being called K, K2, or Kristal. I don't know why Kris bothes me so much.

I never liked it when people referred to me as 'Hey! You with the face!'

I do that too. A co-worker left me a note about a program yesterday that said Ali on it. Today I left him a note calling him Danny.(his name is Dan)
I'm wondering if he'll get it.

People mispronounce my last name all the time. It ends up
sounding like dork.
So now some people call me dork to be funny.

My last name gets mispronounced all the time. But its an easy way to determine if you know who's calling you or if they are a telemarketer....
