My comments below in RED!
| DCRunningDiva wrote: | What I like:

Great, and you voted too?
What I don't like:
1. Although I like the shape of the "bubble" the running guy is in I don't really like the quote symbol above "his" head. - Ok, it's supposed to be a synonym for 'forums'
2. Contrast in color is too abrupt to the left of the word "Calulator." Maybe a more gradual color change. - OK, it can stay a solid color, I think it would be better ...
What needs to be changed:
1. The line needs to be shortened under the word "profile" - OK, that's not big problem
2. "Cool slogan goes here" - Yep, I'm waiting some suggestions for this!
Is "Member list" one or two words? - It's default title written by system itself |

I don't care for it (nothing personal). Too much of a sea of blue in the middle.

Ok, but you voted for NO, correct?
Anyway, I'll consider to put some background shapes to make this deep blue sea a little bit interesting

Just a suggestion, if you are going to use actual people, how about members from here. We did this a few years ago, when we did a T-Shirt, and we had a great response. Here is what it looked like

Well, we can try to blend some of member's pictures and put it somewhere at the top, but this cannot replace the logo! Logo needs to be simple, authentic, catchy ... Also slogan should have just a few creative designed words to describe this community.
Any suggestions?

I came up with a couple of the sub-forums names and descriptions, are you thinking something along those lines. Specifically how many words

For now we need just the global forum slogan. It should be placed at the top near the logo. Slogan should be memorable and short and may contain not more then 5-6 words! The slogan should identify this community in global!

I think a solid color would make it too plain. I agree with PH - the "sea of blue"
I like the idea of using real people but understand the greater need for a logo as well. I think using some of the long-time members (maybe even those who used to be part of KICK...not me, btw) is a good idea after the logo has been determined.
Slogan ideas (even though I suck horribly at this):
Worldwide Running Forum
Fitness is Fun! Let's go Run!
RunningForums.com Making fitness more fun!
Again...I sucketh at this kind of stuff.

Reminds me of the common track-and-field logo..
...and the guy looks, well, he looks .... fat.
Track-and-field is typically the "bent over" runner such as you have.
And distance running icons are typically a more "upright" runner.
Personally.. I like the images of real runners, not just saying it because that's how it is now, but the "generic" cartoon/silhouette doesn't personalize a logo to me. It's too easily lost in the clutter of 100 other running products/items.
and the bubble?!.. don't start me on the bubble.. whazzup with that? ..is he burping?

The form is good, but personally I prefer more creative slogans, if you know what I mean???
Ok, that's one suggestion more ... I received a few more via PM ... We don't want to rush with this, so take your time to think about it.
Btw. have to go!
Thanks,
