How many different types of natural disasters have you lived through and what were they?

Does it need to be "declared" a natural disaster by the President to count?

Somehow blizzards in Wobegon don't qualify. dunno

37" of snow in '91 was a bit... disasterous Razz

Well, back in 1984 or so there was a slight tremblor here in the Northeast. That's one.

Back in 1957 we were coming back from Italy via France on the SS United States and the ship sailed through a hurricane - that was fun...

We've gone through a few hurricanes up north but by the time they get to our area they're usually downgraded.

We have gone through two blizzards latest one was in 1994. Thirty one inches of snow in about 24 hours. Followed by lots of drifting and the like. Fortunately the snowblower was working.

Three.

A tornado, blizzards (although I don't remember the worst of those; I was only a few months old, but I can recall others) and now hurricanes.

I was in a restaurant that caught fire when I was little. A few hurricanes at the shore. A major flood in NJ in my teens.

Four tornados, one tremor, numerous blizzards, and twice in winter being outside with a windchill of minus 80.

There was a tornado one town over... My parents had problems with wind the day before and after but not the day of the tornado. It destroyed quite a bit in the town though.

We've had several blizzards but nothing a few days off from school couldn't fix. Mr. Green

But I thought you were supposed to feel the earth move.

First time this month - I'm due. Open that door to the penalty box.
