Hurricane Gloria in the mid 80's.
A tornado when i was in high school. A buddy of mine and I were driving back from Valleyfair and had to pull over several times because of heavy, heavy, heavy rain. When we get home our parents were worried because apparently there was a tornado in a nearby town and we passed fairly close to it. Who knew?

My ex-girlfriend wasn't a natural blonde, so I guess I can't count that?....

Been within a mile of a few tornados. And I doubt I could count those because I sought them out.
Had an ice storm that knocked out power to the house for over a week. That was a fun week to go out and ride a bicycle.
Besides that, I can't really think of anything else.

Meet Hurricane David. I played in it in 1979 when I was 12 years old at a Days Inn Lodge (when our house was being built). It rained and rained for days. I never had more fun in my life as a kid. It was one big rainstorm and we played in our bathing suits.
I lived through a few more hurricanes/tropical storms as well in the '80's.

I have been on the front lines of numerous huricanes and high wind storms.
Flooding is the worst I have been involved in.
Luckily my family has been spared any problems of disasters in our area.

Tons of earthquakes when I lived out in Cali.
And the Blizzard of 2003 in Denver.
