Posted: 05/25/06 - 14:31 Post subject: National Event Directory?
Hi
I was wondering if there is a national event directory that lists all the events (5Ks, 10Ks, Marathons, etc) for each state for the whole year.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Active.com is probably going to be the biggest source for local races. Look into runningintheusa.com too.

MarathonGuide.com is about as comprehensive as it gets for 'thons in the US and Canada, and quite a few elsewhere.

Otherwise, you could go state by state and find out what resources they have. Minnesota has a comprehensive one, raceberryjam.com

runnersworld.com has a biggie calendar too
http://www.usatf.org/calendars/search.asp ..the usatf calendar ain't too bad
Like Pug sez though, your best bet is to pick a state and find it's respective calendar. That's what I've found is the best. Each state usually has some entity corralling everything on one site.
