I don't know if anyone is watching much, but I am finding I much prefer TNT's broadcasters to those of ABC/ESPN.

Dick Stockton was the top announcer on CBS in the 80's.
Marv Albert was the top announcer on NBC in the 90's.

Call me old school, but I'd rather listen to them call a game, than Mike Tirico. And I like Mike Tirico as a football guy, he's just not as polished.

And that guy who was announcing the Wolves/Kings game last night...he has a good voice I guess...but I was painting in the basement listening to the game, and he was quiet so often I could hardly tell what was going on.

As much as I don't like Marv Albert's personality. He is a great announcer.

And has anyone noticed that Bill Walton is the NBA equivalent of Bobby The Brain Heenan?

A total heel announcer if I ever saw one.

I agree...But, for some reason, I've grown to like him. Embarassed

I hated him forever, but sometime in the last five years, he grew on me. Whereas I used to think his comments were stupid, I now laugh at them.
dunno

Good analogy though, X.
