not final football thread for today.
On what do you base your loyalty for your favorite football team?
Location? Players? Coach? Uniform? Stats? Prison records (or lack thereof)?

I cheer for 2 college teams:
The place I pay the most tuition
Place I paid second highest (of 2) tuition

Growing up, it was whatever team my dad liked, since there wasn't a local team. Most peeps in our area were big Redskins fans, so naturally we bucked the trend and rooted for the Cowboys. I was thilled when we got the Panthers, finally a team I had a reason to cheer for.

Houston was given the expansion team the same time I moved here and I followed them from then on. I've never lived where there was a pro team before, and it seemed sort of bandwagonish to cheer for other teams until now.

Brown's fan since I figured out what football was. I follow Ohio State also, mostly because they are widest known Ohio college team.

I started watching football after the Cardinals left St. Louis. So I started rooting for the Cowboys. Then I was PO'd when we got stuck with the LA Rams so I continued to root for the Cowboys. This year I haven't paid much attention, as Aire touched on in a different thread I go through phases where I'm totally into it one season, or totally disinterested the next. There is something missing when you are into a team that is not in your city.

WAIT! The Cardinals left St. Louis? No wonder I haven't been able to find any of their games.

It's probably time to start following a team because of the coach. Players make me gag for the most part.
I think I'll become a Colts fan. Tony Dungy is da man.

In that vein, Jimmy Johnson's tenure made me lose respect for Da Boys.
