Sounds like my Fluid Dynamic course back in university. Lots of choking in that class. Still remember the average on the midterm -- 27%.
My final grade -- 55%. Just enough to let me graduate.

I don't let nekkid men on my rear.
We did cover from a front grab, slip punch, knife thrust. Chokes from all sides. You don't want to be a one sided martial artist.

I'm still concentrating on the 'flight' part of fight-vs-flight instinct.

The best defense in any fight is to avoid one to begin with. Running away is not a bad defense, and the one of choice if the attacker has a knife....

Believe it or not, being able to click off a 2:05 half-mile in my youth put adequate distance between myself and unbeknown consequences.

(life advantage #24 of being a runner) | yeah, your right about that. in 6th grade it was a 1/2 mile to the "safe line" i used to out run folks while carrying a trumpet and book bag. out sprinted a few druggies too. i really appreciated that ability.
