All Terrain Skates
Wheels:
Air filled Talus 6" rubber tires
Bearing:
ABEC 5 bearings

Aluminum Chasis

Went to a party this weekend, a skater friends 40th. He had ordered these in thier largest size hoping it might fit. well it didn't. At his party exchanging skate stories i talk about some off road skating in my normal skates. My buddy got a gleam in his eye, exused himself and disappeared into his basement and presented these. i tried it on and it was a Cinderalla fit. the gleam then started in my eyes. Got them for $60.00, they retailed at $320.00

I heard of those a few years ago, when they were only a concept. I have yet to actually see anyone in them though! I'd kill for a pair. It sounds like so much fun!!! Although, I for sure would have many injuries from them. I got pretty banged up this weekend on the normal skates. Some nice road rash to show for it, and a screwed up shoulder.

6 inch wheels..... You better duck if youer on a service road, i don't think the power lines are high enough.
If you fall on those you have a long way to go down.
I'm envious. I can't skate at all. My sister got all the skate genes.

They do have a brake system. you push back on the calf cuff which pushes a pipe down inbetween the second ahd heel wheel. I' have yet to skate in them, probably will tonight at home and decide if i can take them out on a night skate. it normally takes me 20-30 minutes to feel comfy on a new style of skate. this is a new style of skate alright

ya got to love a sport that encourages a guy to roll up to an unknown woman (also on skates) put his hand on her @ss and she looks back and says, "HI. can you do that some more please? "

what happens in street skating is when you come up to anyone infront of you and you can't make it around them and there is no reason to stop or slow you say "CONTACT" a moment or two before you do so. the moment or two allows them to decide really if they want "contact or not (normally newbies don't feel safe yet with it.) you "contact" right at the base of the spine so you are as close as possible to thier center of gravity. you momentum then gets transferred to the one infront.
now putting simple physics in use here a woman normally has less mass then most men, so they don't go as fast on the downhills. which means thier momentum does not carry them as far UP the next hill and they have to work harder. so a woman is always happy to have her @ss touched. GOD I LOVE SKATING!!!!!!!
try that on a 'Bent.

So back to the topic... how are those on pavement? I've got to think an air filled tire is going to be loads more comfy and less vibrating like traditional skate wheels are over cement or most roads.

I have not had them on yet, BUT the idea is yes more comfortable ride, but you give up a lot for this:
1. a much higher center of gravity
2. the boots weight more than twice my racing boots
3. loss of flextion, on speed boots i can use my ankle flexion to help in steering, ain't NO way i can even think of moving my ankles in these. think ski boots.
4. i can get a flat !!
