The conferences were last week. I didn't go because Nichole got excellent grades and great comments from all of her teachers. I didn't think there was anything to talk about. Thats probably why she brought it up today.

I think Nichole is absolutely fine. Straight A's is a sign of good parenting.
The real question we should all be asking is, "How good is she at softball?"

I don't. I used to work with a lady and she and her husband were the biggest party animals and slack parents but their son got straight A's and was way ahead of his grade level. That's when I stopped believing that good grades = good parents. Not that that applies in this case, but your statement isn't always true.
