Posted: 10/25/04 - 18:45 Post subject: My meeting with the Chief of RTPD last week.
I requested my Sgt last week to meet with the Chief about stuff with Abby. I have found keeping him informed about what is going on helps him to understand about my life a little.
I updated him with the last several weeks and about what is upcoming as far as Robin and I and some decisions we have to make.
I was told this.
You take as much time as you need. You are off, paid, period. You should not need to worry about money at a time like this. Go and be with your family and let us worry about Radnor.
Even guys I work with are chipping in, offering to cover my shifts for me, so I do not get docked time and to ease some of the manpower shortage in my absence.
This took a huge load off of me. I am so glad I work for a place that is so understanding.
Greg has met the Chief and knows that my Chief is an all around good guy.

That's awesome. You have been blessed with a very understanding boss and co workers. They are all keepers, just like you.

Having a supportive boss makes all the difference in the world, especially during the tougher times. This guy sounds like a rare gem--lucky you!

Talk about a GREAT BOSS !!! Your co workers should all be commended for their help to you.
Amazing what happens when bosses and organizations realize people are important

Do you think you'll have this same great situation when the 4th becomes absorbed into other districts? I hope you do.

That's very impressive. Good for the Chief. He sounds like the kind of guy people would want to work under (not to mention your co-workers)

That's great to hear. I was thinking of and praying for you and Abby yesterday afternoon. I hope things continue to look up for you all.
