...to start running!!!
He and a buddy from work are challenging each other to run. Both of them are very fit but my husband hasn't run since he was in the Air Force because of his knee. After seeing what I went through with my knee I guess it must have encouraged him to give it a whirl. He is going to do a 5k in either March or April.
Cool, huh?
All I have to say is I need to start doing some more speed training so he doesn't whoop me time wise!

He was already talking about training plans before I mentioned it. I will take a look at what he is using and probably make suggestions. He obviously hasn't come to me so far for advice so he probably doesn't want any but I'll be sure to give it to him anyway.
Dang, two pairs of running shoes for our family now... $$$$$

I second 'DCRunningFromDiva!' (applause)
Any other nominations? No!
All righty then... all in favor of his monicker here being 'DCRunningFromDiva' say 'aye'. Aye!
All opposed? (silence)
All righty then, a warm welcome is extended to DCRunningFromDiva! (applause)

Lucy and I buy four pairs at a time, EACH. We both have our favorties and we shop on line until we find the lowest price and the free shipping, then we buy a ton of sneakers.
My closet looks like a shoe warehouse.
