right now , i can not think straight, as soon as I got home about an hour ago, I realized I have lost my medal.
I was beating myself up all the way home for finshing in 4:35, But they didn't have hills , { Mercedes , birmingham alabama} it was more like a
MOUNTAIN! I was on 4:15 pace till mile 18, and I became exhaused.
I am definaltley hooked and will do more but right now I just want that big beautiful metal back

I was just thinking about you running today. You finished and that really says a lot! 
Can you contact the race directors and tell them you lost your medal? Maybe they'll send you a new one.

Yes, i e-mailed them and asked if i could buy another one with in 30 minutes I had a reply of , they would not let me buy another one they would send me one for free!!! and then when on to tell me what accomplishment it was and how proud they were.
These people are WONDERFUL! The race support was awesome the cops
were so nice everyone I passed had a postive thing to say, It was a really tough course but the people make it wondeful, " I'll be back" 
But I will do lots of things differntly in training, more mid-week mileage and more real running on the hwys, { instead of the flat park i train at}
I think I need to join a running club , even if I can only run w/them once a month, {the closest one is an housr a way.}Thanks for support.
I couldn't imagine not finshing. but I was more "emotional" at the begiing I hear of people crying at the finish line, I was just thanking the Good Lord it was over:)

Excellent running Joy! Getting through your first marathon is a HUGE accomplishment. You've put in so much work, great giant kudos with a mountain ta boot. Give yourself a pat on the back and take it easy this week..you earned it!!!
