PostPosted: 12/15/03 - 12:16    Post subject: My brother called
my parents yesterday morning to tell them the news about Saddam. He said all the troops over there are extremely happy, and hoping this means some of them can come home sooner.

Mom called me at 5:30 am.

He is coming back for Christmas leave. He is supposed to arrive Thursday night, and gets to stay for 10 or 11 days.

This thread is not a political discussion thread. Please put that stuff in the other thread(s). This is about my brother, and his fellow soldiers and their reaction to the event.

Edited to spell the word, "brother" correctly in the title.

The last time I saw him was on Jan. 21st. They left for Colorado the next morning. Spent a couple of months there, and then shipped over.

I believe he arrived the day of, or the day after the war started. He has been there since the end of March or beginning of April.

I miss him very much. Can't wait until thursday night.
