Every Christmas we have a party with an open bar. We get amazing gifts - this year totalling more than $1000. Last yr we got $1000 cash, big party paid for, Gift Cards...
This sumer they are sending us all to Toronto for a big 10th Anniversary party to Ontario Place...
As long as I work 40 hrs per week I can schedule my own day around the amout of work that needs to be done... |
And for Christmas 2006, the company is going to include a spellchecker!! Yeah, baby, yeah!!

Sorry...the grammar checker won't happen until 2007.
Then you, too, can be prefect.

I've had a lifetime of perks in my job. As the old Chief Officer told me on the first day I joined, "Choose a job that you love and you will never work a day in your life"
Just some of the perks :-
Part of a Relay team (10 men) 1977 raced a team from Adelaide Fire service from Adelaide to Melbourne.
Ran Darwin to Melbourne 1978. 12 man relay 6290kms. 18 days 20 hours 25 minutes.
Raced Wellington and Auckland Fire services (10 man relay) from Auckland to Wellington (We won!!!)
Fares, uniform, shoes all paid for by the job!!!
In about 10 days time I'm part of the Emergency response team working at the Commonwealth Games.
I'm working the Swimming, Weight lifting and Rhythmic Gymnastics.
A little disappointed on missing out on the Athletics however I'm being paid at double time rates so who's complaining.

If I had to see those three sports, at least you got them in the right order. Athletics would be the best, certainly.

My old company flew me and Wifey to Germany (for the parent co's 50th ann) - all expenses paid, including meals, hotel, entry to all activities, and they wouldn't even let us pay for gifts to bring home! One guy saw a Cuban cigar at a smoke shop. They bought it for him.
Not to be outdone by all the free pizza I could eat when I delivered for The Hut in college.
