well if i could sum up my trip in one picture it'd be this one. meeting joe sakic was hands down *the* coolest sh*t ever for me. he's such a classy guy, and a great hockey player, and the captain of my favorite team.

we took in 3 games, at various seat levels, all lower bowl. for the final game we were front row, and the way the seats are put in for the lower section (so they can come out for concerts) you feel the vibrations on the ice... so as the players would charge out from behind the net, you'd feel them coming before you'd even see them. granted being that close you lose perspective of the game at times (you kind've zone out) but the experience is totally something else!

i also scored a puck during the warmups from one of my favorite players on the Ottawa team we saw play (we unfortunately missed the team bus at the hotel by about 5 minutes - and everyone was signing) - but the fella Jason Spezza was playing around with a puck and bounced it off his helmet to the trainer, who tossed it too me. it was pretty cool.

we also met the mayor of the city, took in the casino, went to the massive waterpark, the mall (which actually isn't that terrific), rode a subway for the first time, took our picture with the Gretzky statue, wandered aimlessly downtown, and took my first non-supervised plane trip. lol.

ps. i can't make the picture work. can anyone host for me? i'm feeble.

Well it sure sounds like you had a good time!

I am sure there is nothing like going to a waterpark in Canada in Early March????? (just kidding, I am sure (hope) it was an inside park)

I guess I will have to go over to the Yahoo group to see the picture. I think the reason the red x is coming up now, is that yahoo doesn't allow you to link from their sites. I am not sure how they do that but they can.

You can't link from Yahoo. Upload to here, use the uploads link under the RF logo and then post the link in your post. If you can't figure it out, email me the pic and I'll post it for you!

more like a Band-Aid. lol. i dunno, it kind've sucks because there are hardcore hounds there (the guys that stalk people for autographs regardless of if they actually like the player) and it ruins it for everybody.

but i had lots of fun.

and yup that's his autograph on the left part of the shirt.

thanks MB for fixin' it for me Smile Nole - don't go stalking me now Shocked Wink
