A little more clarification. The majority of my running has been with the HS cross country team which runs a 5k. I have done some longer runs as training, but nothing that I would call spectacular.

The weather conditions in Columbus sucked big times. Of course you may have been been done when the nasty wind gusts/rain/hail moved in too. Did it make you run faster???
Wow, congratulations again on the negative splits in a cold nasty marathon!!!! |
Wasn't the hail on Saturday? The race was Sunday morning. Was cold and a little breezy on Sunday morning, but not as bad as Saturday was.

wow...i'm thinking that there a lot of us here who wish that they are in 5k shape, when running their next marathon...simple awesome; way to grind it out...sounds like you had a lot more in reserve than you were giving yourself credit for at the 1/2 way point...
congrats on the P.R...
(p.s. still checking on haloween weekend...we'll definitely meet up, just trying to figure out if C.B can join us or not...i'll be in touch)

I work my butt off for those times and that is still a few seconds faster than my PR!!! You're converting now, right????!!!!!! Think about what you could do if you train specifically.
