PostPosted: 12/03/04 - 09:06    Post subject: My B.F.L. program success...
As some of you may recall, I started the Body for Life program 3 weeks ago. I am thrilled to announce some of my present success. I have lost 1/2 inch in my chest and thighs and 1 inch in my waist, hips, and arms! I don't know how much I started out weighing because our scales are a little messed up. But, I am fitting into pants I haven't worn in YEARS! I LOVE IT!

I think the biggest help in my progress has been the weight training. I am lifting 3x/week now (zero times/week before). Plus, I think it is helping strengthen my knee.

My biggest success in my aerobic conditioning has been that I ran an 8 minute mile (for one minute!). But, just the fact that I can run it makes me feel I have a lot to improve in the way of my overall speed.

9 more weeks to go. Very Happy

3x/week weight training, 3x/week aerobic conditioning, eating 6x/day w/protein & carb at every meal. That basically sums it up. However, the way they go about the exercise part of it really helps to boost your metabolism (which I needed BIG TIME!). I'm struggling with only 20 minute runs but it's like interval training 3x/week! Today I held a 7:53 pace for one minute. Again, not that the one minute is that big of a deal but this is coming from someone who typically runs 10 minute miles. If I can continue to improve on my 20 minute workouts then I can see my normal pace improving greatly.

I'm glad you've found a program that is working wonderfully for you and one you can stick with! The sticking part is always the hardest Confused
