wish us luck. I am so hating this.

Movers come today, will arrive in IN tomorrow but I will get the apt on Thurs hopefully and start the unpacking. This happened fast. I was going with the u-pack thing, but John convinced me to cancel that and he'd pay a moving co. Delta called yesterday, said it may take 7-10 days and that was ok. Then dispatch called, says they'll move us overnight, how soon can I be there. Goodness.

Spent time with John Sunday/Monday. I'm sad, and had 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc thoughts about the move, but you know, things have fallen into place with this so well that it feels right. My heart hurts, and I love my husband, but I have to do this for me. I keep telling myself this.

Very nice thing happened last night. I had forgotten to call the hired help, so he came last night. I had to pay for it too, but that's ok. Turns out this man is also a minister. Not sure the denomination. Anyhoo, I was crying when he got here, had been on the phone with John, and this man left after we talked for a minute, then he came back, told me he was a minister, and asked if he could pray with me. So we stood on my back stoop, prayed, and I felt so much better. Still feel a lot better today. I think he was supposed to come here, kwim? For once my forgetting something turned out to be a good thing. Anyhoo, it was just very nice.

So that's us. Keep us in your thoughts, please. I hate the 12 hour drive. And I'm sure having kitty with us will make it far more interesting than usual. LOL.

wow moving sucks anytime, but in your circumstance it sucks a lot. Good to see that at least you are crying and at least getting a chance to vent a little.

Brie:

Good luck on the move. Let us all know when you settle in.

They say God works in mysterious ways. Funny how that worked out for you just when you needed it.

Good luck Brie. Once you get up here, maybe the Indiana gang should get together. The three of us (you, me, Shelly) could tear up the town! Oh, with how wild we three are, the town wouldn't even know we were there.

Thanks everyone. pink love

Everything is already on its way to IN. I have to pack up the Jeep and I'm sure we've decided to take entirely too much with us. Gonna start on loading it up after I finish my last post from Charlotte cry Sad Shocked Razz I'm still a mess over all of this, but I know that once I get through this hard part and get settled in to our new home and a new routine, things will be ok. Having Dad only a couple hours away is going to be so nice.

I thank you all again for your support and advice through this very hard chapter in my life. This has just been the worst summer ever. I'm looking forward to happier times, and know that you will share in whatever happiness I find as well.

I'll report in as soon as I'm able.

Well, we made it. Left NC at 8am Thurs, hit southside of Indy at 7pm, stayed with a girlfriend who lives in Greenfield. That was nice, we hung out, she made us dinner, etc. Good times.

Got to Terre Haute at about 10am Thurs, movers were already there moving us in. I'm very sad that they could not fit my 96" sofa into the apartment. So it's in the storage room. Sad I love that thing. Now I have to buy another one. Oh, and the movers managed to tear the sofa (we just got it in July) so I have to call and see what they are going to do about that. Movers lost a part to the boys bunk bed, and also walked off with my only phillips screwdriver. URG!

Anyhoo, the apt is ok. Not as pretty as it could be, but rent is cheap and we have nice things so it's all good. Got both Lib and Will registered for school and they start tomorrow.

Trip was ok. Cat was a freak, and next time we will do the tranquilizer thing for either him or myself! Wink We didn't make as good time as we usually do, but going up 65 through IN is not my usual way (we usually go through OH).

I feel really good. Sleeping better already, eating too.

Thanks again everyone for the support and well-wishes. I'm on Dad's dialup right now, but roadrunner will arrive tomorrow at home so I will be on more then. Right now I'm ready to open a vein over this slowness! Wink

Hope everyone is having a happy & safe Labor Day!!
