We took the kids to see it tonight. Great movie. A lot of fubby stuff in it, and to anyone with kids, there is a lot that you can relate too. Both of our kids enjoyed it too.

Steve Martin is hysterical, and I love Bonnie Hunt - she's definitely one of the most underappreciated comedic geniuses of our time. Looked like this one could go super good or super sucky based on the trailer - glad it's the former. I shall give it a look see; thanks for the report.

We rented this over the weekend and I thought it was pretty good, but Mrs. didn't care for it at all, which surprised me. She really likes Bonnie Hunt.
There was one scene where they're passing food around the table and one of the dishes is brussell sprouts and I knew they must have been paying those kid actors/actresses good money to smile and help themselves to a heaping spoonful.

I love Bonnie Hunt and I love Steve Martin, but this is the kind of movie I do not want my kids watching. I raise my kids the old-fashioned way, where mom's and dad's words are law and the parents are the Parents and the kids are the Kids. All the sitcoms and movies where the kids run the parents are banned from their eyes and ears.
