Posted: 06/13/06 - 07:46 Post subject: Movie Review: Cars
We took all of our kids and Greg's kids to this movie yesterday. In a word fantastic. The animation was amazing and the story was great. Albeit about 30 minutes too long it was excellent. Pixar does it again with another family friendly movie that is destined to make lots of money.
The voices were excellent. Paul Newman had a lead role and was excellent.
I am glad this movie held up to all of the hype. JJ even had his room decorated in the "Cars" theme and the "cars" stuff has been all over the place in the stores. It really did make the hype worth it

Yup. Loved it. My husband and I saw it on Sunday. The animation was great, the beginning dragged a little bit but very nice ending. Make sure you stay for the credits, very funny!

Glad to hear the good reviews. Although I keep reading them from "critics", I can't get hyped up for this movie for some reason. But I think we'll definitely take Hayden.

Me and the boy saw it last night (him for the second time). I really enjoyed. Pixar makes great movies, and researched this very well.
Definitely one to add to the DVD collection when it comes out

Took the kids while on vacation. It was a bit slow going in the beginning, but it was a good movie in the end.
The kids were transfixed through the entire thing!
Two thumbs up!

My youngest is the big car fanatic. So, we figured he'd get into it - but alas, it being his first movie, he's still a bit young. Lasted about 20 minutes. My oldest, who, before this movie could give a hoot about cars, completely loved it and has seen it twice now. He's basically packed away the rest of his toys and plays with his Cars all the time.
I thought it was great. Pixar has a great thing going.

My hubby took Hayden to see it finally. Hayden loved it which is the important part. My hubby said it was just ok. He didn't love it like he loves Shrek and the Incredibles. I think Hayden still likes the Incredibles more, too. But he had fun.
