I'm so out of shape it's disgusting. I need to shame myself back into routine.

Believe me, I'm running the slowest 1/2 marathon I have ever run in my life in a couple of weeks. I wouldn't dare show my stomach to anyone right now. It is so flabby, not redneck flabby yet, but I'm not in as good a shape as I was last year at this time.
I'm not even writing up a race report. I really don't want anyone knowing I can run "that" slow. Maybel I'll run under Paul Tergat's name.

I'm in the same boat as you MEC., haven't been able to run since June, put on 7kgs. (swimming and cycling doesn't help) and now look like having an Achilles operation.
Misery loves company.

Can I join you in the slow 1/2 marathon category?? I have struggled with the motivation to run farther than 8 or 9 miles. Saturday Morning could be a long morning.

put me in the flabby stomach category
I knew that I should have just kept my wet shirt on for 5 more miles, I wasn't thinking about finish line photos
Bryce: "mom, your stomach looks huge! you need to work on that"

I've got flabby too. Ever since I completed my tri in September, I've been a pig at the table, and I haven't been as active lately. For me, it's the season. I love this time of year - for me it's the best time to be active, but it's also the best time to take it all in. And the days are getting shorter, so I need a crane to get my a$$ out of bed in the morning.
My wife's been more active lately, so that's helping a bit. But I've gotta get rid of this belly pudge....
