$4000 between two repairs for a blown head gasket on a 1995 Ford Windstar.

Ford originally told us to have inappropriate relations with ourselves when we asked for compensation.

About a year later, they admitted fault and cut us a check for the total amount.

teehee inappropriate relations. when we bought the toyota, we'd driven the windstar, they let us drive it home to test it and it wouldn't fit in our garage so we didn't keep it. can't imagine if we had. glad our garage sucked.

Also to be noted: Ford's financial problems ever since.... Mr. Green

The infamous 'Sty had many problems, among them a computer chip missing from her transmission that prevented her from going in reverse. Minor detail.

LOL Minor Detail!!!
the "sty" stories afforded me the best laugh i've ever had here.

We rarely take anything in for repair cuz DH used to be a mechanic and can do most all our stuff when something breaks. If not we also have a dear friend who owns his own auto shop and makes house calls to us too. Cool

I don't remember what it was but she wouldn't drive, horrible smell and the head gasket sounds very familiar and ran around $2500.

That's a head gasket.

Had to have my '92 Lumina spruced up in '97, took about $1000.

My insurance covered all but my deductible of the broken axle $6800 repair on the Jeep in 2004.
