Most of you know, but we are adding an addition on to our house. We dropped our rate from 7.000 to 6.000. With the added money for the addition and a few other items, we will still only be paying about $100 more per month than we were before.

We recently refinanced our mortgage. I decided to refinanice throught our existing mortgage company because they would waive any fees. However, the refinancing process was made very slow and it eventually dawned on me that the mortgage company had all of the incentive in the world to delay the process and continue getting payments at the higher rates. Eventully completed the refinancing and we came out to the good, even with the slow process.

1.. same %s. Like Rando, we did a house addition last summer and the greatest part of this refinance is our house appraised so high, I rolled in everything and I mean everything (1st, 2nd, ccard, 2 autos, computer), so we've got one payment a month...sweetness.
