More reasons to bike commute

I got in my car during my lunch break and it wouldn't start. After work I had to get a co-worker to jump start my car. I figure no big, just drive home and then take the battery to get checked tomorrow/ buy a new one if necessary. I get about a third of the way home and it dies on me in traffic. I jumped out and pushed it to the side of the road. Someone behind me pulled over immediately and started helping me push it over the curb. Very nice to see someone help out like that. I then called my cousin to get him to come jump start my car again. I drove to his apartment which was only a couple blocks away. We took out the battery and I'll go get it tested tomorrow. I'm hoping it's just a completely dead battery because I guess the next solution up would be the alternator. My sister gave me a ride home and on the way we passed a guy whose car had stalled in an intersection so I jumped out and helped him push it to the shoulder. Ironic that I'd find myself on the other side so quickly.

OK, If you have gotten a jump, and the car dies out again there is one other possibility: bad alternator or bad cables.

If you have a multimeter you can easily check the output. Both coming out of the alternator and into the battery. Good luck !!
