One of my New Year's Resolutions was to eat more fruit and vegetables, but moreso vegetables. So far so good. I picked up some random veggies and dip, so maybe it will make its way into my diet.
Anyone else with me on this?

I was with you until the dip part.
Aren't you defeating the purpose if you dip the veggies in a high fat, high calorie dip ?

Dip doesn't have to be high fat or high calorie to be good.

I can use the calories. I was more about the benefits of vegetables... vitamins and minerals and whatnot. Dip optional.

The kumquats didn't make the cut. I also resolved to drink more water and less junk (including alcohol). WHAT was I thinking?

After years of not drinking at all during the week and binge drinking MAYBE once a month at a social function, I started drinking regularly. It started after I got fired. I figured I didn't have a job, no reason to NOT drink everyday if I wanted. I just dont' want to anymore.

That's something I've been trying to do too, especially hard in the winter months. I have found mustard greens, in small amounts (canned) are good, with some balsamic vinegar over it.
I've made my salads more interesting with banana peppers and sunflower seeds added to them, along with canned 3 bean salad.
Canned sweet potatoes is also a good choice.
Dip isn't bad. Make your own with yogurt, get the benefit of calcium along with the veggies.
