Hot damm....this is one tough trail shoe. It has a protective plate in the forefoot as well as gel cushioning to protect from sharp rock jabbing through. It fits great, has ample room in the toe box and is very stabil. This is now my favorite trail shoe. I did a tough, rocky 2 1/2 hour trail run right out of the box and no blisters.... Very Happy
