In the middle of April I have decided to spend a few months doing more cross training and less running. I want to see if that will kick start my speed this fall when I crank it back up for marathon time.
47.21 miles running in 7 hours even for a pace of 8:53.8/mile
20,000 meters of rowing on the erg in 1:22:17 for a 2:03/500 meter pace
17 miles biking in 59:46.0 for a pace of 3:30.9/mile
also starting on April 17 I started doing some calesthenic (sp??) type exercises to help with my core strength.
85 regular pushups
128 dips
81 raised foot pushups
43 military pull ups
76 close handed pushups
45 wide grip pullups
38 wide push ups
40 parallel grip pull ups
40 chinups
90 seated rows
13 elevated push ups
550 Crunches
200 Side crunches (each side)
15 minutes in the plank position
170 leg raises
120 back extensions.
and I took 4 yoga classes.
