Today I ran four miles for the first time in more than two years. It's just a little milestone, compared with all the marathons and halfs and stuff you all do, but I'm proud of it nonetheless.

40+ minutes on weights tonight (maybe it was still afternoon, but the cloudiness made it seem like night). Most was upper body, but I did do a little rotary calf and calf extension, too.

2 miles on the tread 19.38.

Oh no, I saw gdawg was back at the weights and he's post marathon. I guess that means it's time for me to get back to the weights again too.

An absolutely great run. I wasn't expecting it to be because I had been really lethargic all day and really forced myself to get out there. It was still warm as the sun was setting, about 80 degrees. I started off at a pretty decent clip and guessed that through a little over a half mile I was running at 7:20 pace. It felt somewhat hard, and I wasn't sure how long I'd be able to hold it, but that soon changed. After a little over a mile I guess I was warmed up and found my rhythm. My stride was long, smooth, and relaxed. It was really a pretty easy run effort wise.
