My daughter "trimmed" her bangs a couple years back.
and then, did it again a couple of months later.
We had to take her scissors out of her art supplies.

Just had that happen last Sunday with my four year old. She only cut her bangs though. Whew! We have been growing her bob out for a year and it could have been much worse.
I know how you feel.

How do you explain my 10 year old cutting her bangs all the way to the scalp?? She did that last spring trying to get rid of her cowlick (sp?).

My sister cut some of her bangs to the scalp the day before picture day in kindergarten. The school picture is hilarious, she missing hair, a tooth and has this OH so proud grin on her face. My then-furious mother now loves the photo and my then proud sister is mortified by it.

OMG - my daughter did this when she was 8, she was so frustrated with a cowlick--so, she hacked all the bangs off up to her scalp and no more cowlick. 
she looked like a unicorn for months.
took many months for those bangs to grow back and then we grew them out completely so no more cowlick.

My sister cut my brother's hair for him when she was about 10 and him 8. It was hysterical..... It looked like some of these punk do's you see on kids nowadays with spikes of hair going every which way.
My almostX gave me a haircut down at the cabin a few summers ago... after she'd had three beers that I didn't know about.... it wasn't very pretty.

OMG - my daughter did this when she was 8, she was so frustrated with a cowlick--so, she hacked all the bangs off up to her scalp and no more cowlick.

8 huh. Here I was thinking I was out of the woods on this one. 
I didn't do the crappy hair cut on my self until Jr. High. Boy was that ever embarrasing.  Especially since volleyball pictures were that week.
